The economic boom has created more entertainment jobs than ever before in the peach state. But the competition is fierce, especially now that the industry has finally opened back up and Covid Compliance rules the set. Getting started in the industry can be a challenge if you don't know how and where to start, whether you want to be a PA or start a production company to produce your first feature.

INTRO TO FILM BUSINESS - 101

Basics of the business - development to sale, terminology, crew positions, definitions, and hierarchy. Overview of the film and television industry, including commercials, industrials, and music videos.

GETTING STARTED IN THE INDUSTRY - 102
TIME: 1:00pm - 4:00pm
PRICE: $50 NON MEMBERS/$40 ATLFS/GPP MEMBERS

Entry level positions in all departments. Paths to different careers. How to transition from another industry. Best practices for applying for jobs when networking is a challenge due to Covid.

RESUMES FOR FILM AND TV - 103
TIME: 4:30pm - 7:30pm
PRICE: $40 NON MEMBERS/$32 ATLFS/GPP MEMBERS

How to craft a film crew resume, whether you have experience or not. Film resume formats are very different from corporate ones. (This class does not cover acting resumes.) Please have your resume handy as we'll workshop it during the class.
