100 Feet of Film 2025: Film Screening
Join us at the Plaza Theatre on March 3rd as we celebrate the third edition of the 100 Feet of Film project and screen the completed films. Two prizes will be awarded following this screening, one Jury Award and one Audience Award.

Eat, Drink & B-Indie:Empowering ATL Filmmakers: A Guide to Resources and Continuing Education
This month's Eat, Drink & B-Indie will focus on providing filmmakers of all levels with essential tools, resources, and educational opportunities. The conversation will be led by our very own Education Director Melissa Simpson and Education Coordinator Taylor Montalto. We'll dive into local grants and funding options, networking opportunities, and the wealth of educational programs available.
ATLFF Alumni Theatrical Premiere: Family Tree
FAMILY TREE explores sustainable forestry in North Carolina through the stories of two Black families fighting to preserve their land and legacy. Despite setbacks, they work to create sustainable land to pass on to the next generation. This powerful film premiered earlier this year at the 2024 Atlanta Film Festival and has played at festivals across the US to rave reviews.

Improv For Writers
A brilliant writer knows how to create exciting scenes in a manner that captivates both script readers and viewers. Improvisation techniques can enhance that creativity, leading to fresh material for comedic and dramatic stories and everything in between. In this two-day workshop, writers participate in guided team exercises (including improv games) and experiment with various practical approaches to produce ideas that could help build a script. The collaborative environment not only generates content but can also enhance self-confidence. Overnight, you write a couple of new pages, and the next day you see a script-in-hand staged reading of your improv-inspired scene.

Eat, Drink & B-Indie: Kodak 100 Feet of Film KickOff!
It's back! The Atlanta Film Society and Kodak are in partnership to present the 100 Feet of Film Project. This project provides a team of filmmakers with the opportunity to maximize their creativity while minimizing the ability to reshoot. Through this project, filmmakers will learn to effectively and efficiently shoot on a limited reel of film stock, and in the process, must focus on the fundamentals of filmmaking.
