How do I submit a screenplay?
We accept screenplays only through FilmFreeway only. Be sure to read all rules and terms here before submitting.
Do you accept screenplays through snail mail?
Unfortunately, we do not. All screenplays must be submitted in PDF form via FilmFreeway.
What are the deadlines and prices?
The deadlines are as follows:
Regular Deadline: May 30th, 2019
Feature Screenplay - $25
One Hour Pilot Screenplay - $20
30 Minute Pilot Screenplay - $20
Final Deadline: July 1st, 2019
Feature Screenplay - $30
One Hour Pilot Screenplay - $25

Do you offer waivers?
No, the Page to Stage program does not offer waivers to any writers.
Who can submit to Page to Stage?
Page to Stage is open to writers currently living in Georgia who have not earned an aggregate of $50,000 through professional screenwriting.
Is there an age limit?
Not at all. We welcome writers of any age. Keep in mind, however, that if you are under 18 you may need an adult’s assistance.
If I submit to Page to Stage, do I still own the rights to my screenplay?
Yes, you still own the rights.
However, in the process of casting your staged reading, we may need to share your screenplay with potential actors, their representation, and/or other industry professionals.
We strongly recommend that you either register your screenplay with the WGA (East or West) or copyright it through the US Copyright Office. (www.wga.org and http://www.copyright.gov).
I submitted to Page to Stage before, can I submit again with the same screenplay?
Absolutely; however, we highly recommend that any re-submission undergoes significant rewrites.
Can I enter other competitions?
Enter away. We want you to enter every and any competition that appeals to you. Please reach out to let us know how those competitions go!
Can I submit my spec script for ___ /stage play/tv show/short story/etc?
Unfortunately, no. Page to Stage does not accept spec scripts for existing programming such as television shows or franchises, novels, short stories, reality tv show concepts, stage plays or treatments.
What do I win?
1-2 writers will be chosen to take part in a staged reading of their winning screenplay(s). This staged reading won’t be your average production. This full reading will take place at the historic Plaza Theatre in front of live audience with a cast of professional local actors.
The winning writer(s) will not only get to hear their words come to life, but also get a one in a lifetime chance to get feedback on their work and connect with special industry guests in attendance.
The winning writer will receive detailed feedback on their project from:
The director of their staged reading
The actors cast in their staged reading
The audience at their staged reading
Select film industry guests invited to attend the reading
This process will help them refine their work and take it to the next level.
The winning writer will also be able to network and interact with industry members involved in the Page to Stage production and attending the staged reading, offering them a once in a lifetime chance to expand their connections and take steps down the road to bringing their screenplay to life.
How do you cast the staged readings?
We work with professional casting agents who are familiar with the local acting scene to bring in the highest caliber of professional actor for each screenplay.
When will I know if I won?
Notifications will be on August 1st, 2019.
Who reads the screenplays?
All Screenplay submissions are read multiple times by a combination of ATLFF trained readers and the Page to Stage Programming Team.
