A Business Proposal should be thought of as a proposed business contract with your investors, and treated and crafted accordingly. While it in no way takes the place of a contract, your proposal should outline the detailed plan you as a filmmaker have for the financing, production, and sale of your movie. This class will walk you through the content necessary to create a business proposal for your film from team bios and dream cast to your top sheet budget and distribution plan. Using the information discovered in the development phase, you can craft a solid plan complete with the risks and how you plan to mitigate them, which is imperative. This workshop will show you what is needed for a solid and legal plan, and how to avoid fraudulent claims and misrepresentations so commonly found in business proposals that drive investors away.
