Soup To Nuts: The Ideation, Production and Promotion of a Short Film
Do you have an idea for a short film? Great! Where does one even begin? And when it’s all finished and you want to relax, there’s still more to do! This workshop hopes to give you the appetite to get started and see it through to the end.

Cinematography: Establishing and Executing the Vision
The role of Director of Photography can be described as a marriage, or intersection, between the technical and creative. In this course, we will examine the aggregate process of establishing and executing the visual aesthetic of a film, explore various tips and tricks to keep in your cinematographic toolbox, consider the means of communicating with a director — meeting a director halfway to find the language that you both can understand, and more.

His fantasy quickly turns into reality when the bandmates and former lovers accept his invitation to play a private show at his home on Wallis Island.

100 Feet of Film 2025: Film Screening
Join us at the Plaza Theatre on March 3rd as we celebrate the third edition of the 100 Feet of Film project and screen the completed films. Two prizes will be awarded following this screening, one Jury Award and one Audience Award.

Intro to Costumes for Film and Television
In this workshop, we will dive into the world of Costumes for Film and Television by learning the importance of the various roles within the Costume Department, exploring how characters are developed through Costume Design, the importance of conducting accurate period research, and the fundamental skills necessary to be a Costumer.

Ready to talk your way into a new career? This workshop will teach you everything you need to know to get started in the voiceover biz without dropping a fortune on fancy equipment. From setting up a budget-friendly home studio to mastering the Art of the Demo that’ll make agents say, “Where have you been all my life?”— this workshop covers it all.

Improv For Writers
A brilliant writer knows how to create exciting scenes in a manner that captivates both script readers and viewers. Improvisation techniques can enhance that creativity, leading to fresh material for comedic and dramatic stories and everything in between. In this two-day workshop, writers participate in guided team exercises (including improv games) and experiment with various practical approaches to produce ideas that could help build a script. The collaborative environment not only generates content but can also enhance self-confidence. Overnight, you write a couple of new pages, and the next day you see a script-in-hand staged reading of your improv-inspired scene.

LOCALS ONLY is a recurring screening of short films from Georgia’s independent filmmakers with each event having a distinct theme and focus. Featured short films come entirely from submissions, and prizes are given to winners of both the Jury and Audience Awards
