Starting this February, ATLFS presents NOIRE - A series of screenings devoted to new and classic films by Black filmmakers. This series kicks off February 25th with a members-only early look at A24's ON BECOMING A GUINEA FOWL, the new film by director Rungano Nyoni (winner of the Cannes Camera D'or for her first feature I AM NOT A WITCH).

Film Synopsis: On an empty road in the middle of the night, Shula stumbles across the body of her uncle. As funeral proceedings begin around them, she and her cousins bring to light the buried secrets of their middle-class Zambian family.

On March 4th we'll follow up with a screening of Theodore Witcher's beloved 1997 classic LOVE JONES, and rounding out the series on March 11th, is the exciting debut feature JIMMY (Telluride/ NYFF 2024), with director Yashaddai Owens in attendance.
